She died on the 4th of July, but news of her death was not released until a week later because lawyers preferred to wait for the death certificate to be filed before the announcement was made.

Who was Evelyn Keyes: Evelyn Keyes was an American actress best known as "Scarlett O'Hara's Younger Sister" (the title of an autobiographical book she would later write) in the American film classic Gone with the Wind.

She also appeared in many other films throughout the 40s and 50s such as The Desperadoes, Strange Affair, The Prowler, Around the World in 80 Days, and The Seven Year Itch (alongside Marilyn Monroe) to name a few.

She made a few later appearances, but turned more to writing, most notably, her autobiography.

She was married to Barton Bainbridge from 1938 until his death and then married and divorced three more times.
