Life-long friend, and former co-star, Andy Griffith stopped by to see Knotts just hours before he passed. At the time of his passing Knotts wife and daughter were at his side.
Who was Don Knotts: Knotts is best known for being Barney Fife on the 1960's television show The Andy Griffith Show. Knotts won 5 Emmy's for his portrayal of Fife. He also played Ralph Furley on Three's Company (which also featured the late John Ritter).
