Death Summary: Bogart was only 57 when he died. He had long been a heavy smoker, and he got esophagus cancer, which led to the removal of not only his esophagus, but two lymph nodes and a rib as well. He weighed just 80 pounds when he died.
While he was sick, he was frequently visited by Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy who saw him the night before his death. His last words were allegedly, "I should never have switched from Scotch to martinis".
He was cremated, and then his remains were buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.
