In the latter years of his life, Unitas finally got the meida to see to the many permanent physical disabilities that he and his fellow players suffered when football was in it's infancy, before suffecient padding and other key safety features had been invented.
The man nicknamed "The Golden Arm" and sometimes just simply called "Johnny U" is still considered to be one of the greatest quaterbacks of all time.
